How I discovered that the ‘cottage girl’ style was also part of my fashion DNA

I’ve always known that my style is built on three pillars that have been with me for years:

✨ simple elegance

✨ mindful comfort

✨ and a touch of ‘cottage girl’ style that creeps in without asking permission.

The interesting thing is that this last nuance — that soft, rustic, handcrafted feel — wasn’t something I chose. It was something I recognised.

For a long time, I’d noticed that I was drawn to certain details: textured garments, natural tones, flowing dresses that seem to whisper stories, the flowers I’d drawn in my notebooks, the warm light in my photos…

It was a sensibility that coexisted with my taste for elegant silhouettes and practical comfort. And one day I realised that all of this had a name: cottage girl style.

But it isn’t my only style, nor does it claim to be.

In fact, it’s part of a blend that’s very much my own:

— elegance that pays attention to form

— comfort that embraces movement

— and this cottage touch that adds softness, calm and soul.

They don’t compete. They balance each other out.

And there, right at that point of convergence, is where I truly recognise myself.
